I got given this old MK2 Bren butt blank ,a couple of pics below should it be of interest to other sad gits out there ;D   Will probably make a nice bit of firewood for someone one day ;D |

A good find! I have found that 60 year old bits of wood like that are very dry and burn wonderfully.  It is interesting to see the sequence of manufacture. I would have thought that the cocking sleeve slot would have been one of the last things to be cut, and the return spring hole would have been first, as a set-up reference. |
