Hello
I know a re-enactor who bought a box last year for £15 but it did not have the metal toggles on the side, they were missing, so maybe that will give you a clue.
Are you thinking of selling it?

Anyone see the one on eBay last week? No drums inside obviously, needed some minor work but good nick with ww2 markings? £7.50 - bargain!  ttfn |

I got a decent one last week for $5 cdn at the local auction. Missing all the internal dividers, and one handle is torn.
Now why did they fasten the handle block with 2 screws (easily removable) and two rivets (non-removable.)?? Makes it hard to effect a repair.

I think I am going to grind off the rivets for the web handle blocks today and make up some new ones. Hopefully I can leave enough pin to either re-peen or else a quick tack weld onto them. I sewed up a new handle (out of a NOS sten sling) for my 1 lonely drum mag a while ago, and it takes on a new aura once little things like this have been done. |

Kev....Noooooooooo not MORE bren boxes to look for. Scarily I know someone who got a loaf of different bren related crates given, gun boxes, barrel boxes etc, and some mag boxes. I never asked exactly what so now I need to go and see him! If he has any will let you know.
Also could someone send me or post or let me know if I already should have somewhere on Toms cd the dimensions of the internal parts on the small drum box, cos mine has a couple of bits missing.
