I have a C2A1 (dewat) along with 4 extra mags in the Bra. Maybe I can snap a photo later, along with some of the other Cdn accessories. I'm looking for one of the (ex-cdn) auzzie top covers with the sight built in for the C2, in case anyone has one to spare. Nice to know of someone with a C2A1, is it a real production C2A1 or one that has been made up? The cover you are looking for is very rare, the C2 tangent sight cover was only used on the Canadian C2 rifles and has the stripper clip cover, of course these were replaced with the 1000m disk sights. This is the only one I have seen As you can see the one for the L2A1 has the full length cover

Kevin thanks for posting the pic of the Aussie L4A1 'curved' mag. I had been taking reference for the Aussie L4 'straight' mag from - Australian Infantry Training Vol 4 Pam 6 MG 7.62mm L4A4 1979 All the illustrations in the Pam show a 30 rnd 'straight' mag. Looks like I also need a L4 Aussie 'curved' joby now ! ..........you have mail ;D

Nice to know of someone with a C2A1, is it a real production C2A1 or one that has been made up? Mine is an origional, from CAL. It was actually a full auto (selective fire) when I purchased it. It had been for sale for a while, but with the latest restrictions here in Canada, none of the full auto guys were looking for another safe queen. I had it transferred over to a local dealer and deactivated. It was origionally owned by a DCRA member. Back in the day, you could purchase the FNC1s, C2s, and SMGC1s through that organisation. There are currently only a half dozen live origional C2A1s in private hands here in Canada. The military stocks of them went to the smelter in the last couple of years, along with the C1s and the SMGs. Blake Steven's early book on the FNs mentioned the Cdn top covers were sold to Australia. Thanks for the photos showing the different top covers. I have seen some at gunshows occasionally. Now I will know what to buy (and what not to buy).

Considering the current price of Bren magazines, paying $600 to fix a bad one is ludicrous.

I have one of the Bren repro butt grips. I have no complaints with it. At about $250 cheaper than a real one, I can live with it. I made this statement a while back, and before I received a couple more of the butt grips. I have to take back what I said about the quality. The new ones are terrible. They look like some guy made them with a hand grinder instead of using a milling machine. To IMA's credit, at least they show a photo of the product. I am going to see if I can fix the mess with a rotary file on a drill press. www.ima-usa.com/popup_image.php/pID/61/image/4

I left a generous review of the handle on their site. Surprisingly the review did not stay.
My first one I got from them about a year ago was perfect. Even had some small ID markings on it. My guess is they went with the cheapest supplier.
