I just acquired a semi-auto Bren and have what I think is a Mk 2 Inglis with a Mk 2 Bipod....
The bipod does not have a side ring for the sling to clip on to..
Can someone tell me where the sling clips in the front on a Mk 2 Bren?
Also - is there a headspace issue with switching barrels on the Bren? I am not sure how the Bren head space is adjusted...
Any info greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
James

If the bipod is a UK type Mk II (off the top of my head I can't remember if the Inglis ones are the same and my refs are at home) there is a curved slot, like a smiley face, between the bipod legs. Chuck the front sling clip away and feed the sling through there and back on itself like its a giant sling swivel.

Appreciate the help!

PS I would still appreciate any headspacing information or pointers I can get...

Hello James - welcome! You seem to have the info you need from our good friend Tom however, for the sake of others, my Inglis Mk2 has the double front loop setup on the left, same as the Mk1 - one on the collar and t'other on the bipod pivot pin (or whatever the thing is called) and therefore requiring both front and rear clips. As for head-spacing - if you remove the magazine latch or catch (drift out pin from left to right, I think) under the rear tail of the latch you will find a largeish staked screw head. That screw holds a 'locking shoulder' in place just to the rear of the mag well. It's a thingy about an inch square (looking from the top) and maybe 1/4" thick - the shoulder at the back of the bolt rides up in front of this piece for locking. These are swapped out until head-spsce is right. If you do this, ensure that you stake the screw head again - heavily. Hope this helps
