wow $750 a pop - sweet! I happen to know where there is a nice box of 4 for sale and was interested to hear what they are priced at in the US. Even more amused that I had my name down with them for a drum if one came up and forgot to tell them I had aquired one, so nice to know they never bothered to get in touch.

Bren Mk2 Drum Mags now $1450 a pop from IMA, with adapter and box loader stand. Mk1 drum with the winder and adapter are $994 ! I wrote to them 2 years ago and they were positive, nay emphatic they had no more, no way and now a few "forgotten" ones appear LOL. More like waiting for the price to rise! I wonder how many more they have stashed away - sheesh. ttfn

Any of you lot over there have acess to any drums. We could set up a nice little earner with the price IMA is charging...........

There has been 3 or 4 appear at various auctions here over the past couple of years. They are new, in the grease, and usually Mark 2's. I picked up a Mark 1 last year. I suspect they are from a very small cache at the Army Museum and are being dribbled out to provide funds for more aquisitions. They are selling here for $1500-$1600 NZ dollars (roughly $1200 US) for the mags only. Mounting brackets are extra when you can find them. I bought my Mark 2 & bracket from IMA a couple of years ago and was very pleased with it. It was in unissued condition and was about US $700. My advice is to get one while you can as there are very few left in the World!

I have two of the Mk I 's in a chest, loading block and winding handle and two adaptor brackets. I refurbished the chest many years ago , but would love to find two more to complete the full chest.
I'll bet there are some more in the world somewhere. Just gotta keep searching.

I could have sworn I saw one on a table at Malvern last Novemeber, marked up for either £250 or £350 or thereabouts. I remember thinking how rare it must be to see one!
