Hi all, Don't know if anyone's at all interested but there's a place down here in the deep south of Australia that are making replica Brens. They are at the moment just resin castings but contain a metal frame with metal weights installed to match the real weight and feel of the Bren. They are a 1:1 scale and don't look too bad. No moving parts apart from the bipod which is an original unit if you choose that option. The web site is : www.replicatorsaustralia.com/Automatics_semiautomatics.htmlGive it a look for something to do. As a guide they are dirt cheap in comparision to the few real examples left down here. The last couple of deact Brens that I've found here have had an asking price of between $6,000 to $9,000 local! So as you can see these resin replicas are much more attractive. However they are no way as cool as an original unit but for us on a very limited budget represent an afforable option until a cheap proper unit falls in our lap! Anyways just thought that someone here on the forum might find it half interesting. Cheers. Mal.
