Buying a Bren

Hello everyone,

After a couple of weeks of browsing the net for info on the Bren gun I stumbled on this fantastic forum.

I have had a huge interest in the Second World War for a few years now and already own a deactivated Lee Enfield No4.

I am very keen to purchase a Mark1 Bren. I have been offered a 1941 Enfield example - please could you confirm what the going rate is for such a weapon?

Also, I would really appreciate some guidance on how to distinguish a Mk1 form a Mk1m??

The MkI has a dovetail on the left side for the optical sight that was never used. A MkIM does not.

No idea on prices. Bought mine years ago.
