I am disposing of an inherited deac Bren weapon, but since I'm not a weapons collector, I don't know too much about the finer details!
It is stamped 1941 Mk1 and has the Enfield ED mark on the receiver. The bipod is not telescopic and the barrel doesn't look like a Mk1, but I'm no expert. Included is 1 mag which has a few surface rust spots
The Bren was submitted by World Wide Arms Ltd to the Birmingham Proof House for deactivation in Oct 1990, according to the certificate, which matches the serial number F7603 stamped on the receiver and barrel, but I can't find any serial no on the lower slide.
It seems to me to be in pretty good used condition and can be cocked, stripped and dry fired. It still has a lot of heavy pres grease on it and needs a good clean. Apart from the mag it is rust and corrosion free.
There are some links to photos below (many thanks to ojw123) and if anyone would like further shots of specific detail just ask.
The gun is available for viewing in the Didcot area by arrangement.
I'm open to any sensible offers please!
