Thought I'd bump this up to be near the other gun posts Having put the cart before the horse, heres some shots of my deactivated 7.92mm Besa Mk III* Mike Priest was good enough to get hold of a minty pistol grip and bolt to go on it, when ever I get time, and a friend proffed me a quart tin of the correct Sunkronite (is it the right spelling?) paint so one day it will look fresh from FTR... I'd really like a Mk II... ATB Tom

Hi Tom
Is that the standard ammo belt? I have never seen that style before. Ours are all green canvas with silver coloured steel links clamped on.

Hi Rod the all metal jobs were phased out by the end of the war and after that it was the fabric and metal jobs that were standard. I've seen quite a few of the all metal ones so they must have produced a fair few, the metal tab/starter part is longer than on a ZB37 belt otherwise, bar the markings, it's the same. When the other machine is back up (had to take it apart to shift it while they delivered the new furniture) I'll dig out the LoCs and DD(E)s and do a proper write up on them.

Thanks! It's evil stuff anyway, a mate sent me the gov't health warnings for it so its currently inside 5 layers of airtight plastic. Also it should be baked on.
I may subcontract that one as it won't fit in the oven...

SUNCORITE is awful stuff, we apply it with a paint brush, goes on like a bag of bollocks.
