The 7.92mm Besa used both the Mk I* and II types of Bren Cylinder cleaning rods with their appropiate mops. However there were dedicated, much narrower across the bristles, brushes for the Besa to fit both types of rod. These are the ones I am banging my head against the wall trying to find... The Mk I Bren rod was made obsolete before the Besa entered service so isn't proper to that gun. And before anyone asks me where I got the joint section for the MK I rod as they were all supposedly withdrawn and destroyed that part is a repro, the wood section is from a genuine WWII cleaning rod (Lewis Mk I, Sabre Sales as stacks of them) while the ferules were made using the original DD(E)s for a very nice man and are absolutely spot on. I got 2 sets (the other joint is a better colour match to it's handle but thats by the by) and I am not parting with them but if any one wants a copy of the drawings, just e-mail me. ATB Tom
