For the 7.92 mm Besas there were 2 types of cover, one which covered just the flash hider/muzzle shown below and one that covered all of the gun that stuck out of the AFV which i will cover when I have secured one. I will do the full write up later, but briefly the Besa muzzle cover was also used with the M1919A4 / L3 guns in UK service, the normlecture changing as the Besa became obsolete. All the examples below had been packaged or repackaged in the 1980s or 90s with C2 1005-99-963-0077 COVER on the primary pack label . Theres 4 of the 1971 dated ones spare if anyones short of one. The leather one, could it be WW2 Canadian stock for the M1919A4?

LoC B 4878 of 1941 announced the introduction of Covers, Muzzle, Besa, 7.92-mm M.G. No.1, Mk. I BG 4070 as well as the larger No. 2, Mk. I BG 4071 Both were made from waterproofed canvas.
LoC C 9118 of 1959 announced the extension of use of Besa muzzle covers to L3A1 and A2 .30 In Machine guns
The Mechanization Board Drawing M.D. 4088/1 and 4088/2 for the 2 types where both first completed in June 1940. On the drawing for the No. 1 there's a note that says that the use with the L3/M1919A4 was extended in 1956
