Key, tube, pistol grip, Besa M.G., Mk I Part no. C2/ BG 4080 Introduced in LoC B 3713 of August 1940 for both the 7.92mm and 15mm Besa "-Is for the use by armourers for removing the pistol grip tube and cap of the 7.92-m.m. M.G. and the pistol grip tube of the 15-m.m. M.G. It is tubular in shape with the two pegs formed at one end, and holes at the other to receive a tommy bar- the brass punch or 7.92-m.m. steel punch may be used for this purpose" Later, by 1943, it was described in a AFV vehicle armament text as- "Key, tube, pistol grip, Besa M.G., Mk I For removing the pistol grip tube and plug of the Mks I and II 7.92mm M.G. It cannot be used for undoing the pistol grip screw which has superseded the tube and plug. It is tubular, with two pegs at one end and holes at the other, to recieve a tommy bar- the brass punch, or the 7.92.m.m steel punch may be used for this purpose." Its use was restricted and nomenclature changed to cover 7.92mm guns only in LoC C3781 of 1949 which made obsolete the 15mm Besa. Dimensions- 1 5/8ths inches long (less pegs ) and 6/8ths of a inch in diameter. I think it will probably fit/work on a ZB37 as well ATB Tom Mike Priest has a small stock of these. Yes I know I need to clean the cosmo off of them ;-{D)
