Now, before I start to scan them in has anybody already collected/compiled the LoCs for Lewis and Hotchkiss Portative?
While I was harvesting the Pattern Room Library, before it was gifted to the Armouries and photocopying went from free as a guest of MoD to 10p a A4 sheet, I had a chance to copy them all, I think, up till the things were made obsolete emediately post war (I'll have to check the later ones, I've certainly covered up to 1937 fully and I'm pretty sure I went through the 37 to 47 books again).
Anyway in due time I will get them done and distributed like the Bren and L4 LoCs we have compiled but if it's already been done, please say!
Please see the list of scanned material I posted else where as I was fortunate to find some rather interesting Lewis related documents. I've got one more to scan in, WWII UK illustrated parts lists for US .30 cal air gun with the UK and US parts numbers.
Ah, I'm being lazy, I'll do a seperate Lewis scanned list and post it up here. If anyone has any others they care to share, please let us know.
Sad thing is I don't even have a Lewis!

Tom,
I'd love to get a copy of your Lewis CD. I've got one of your (earlier) Bren discs and it's a great reference.
I'll look forward to it's (eventual!) release.
Cheers,
Rich

Drop us a line off forum

And I'll sort you a disc with the Lewis (and Hotchkiss for your mate) stuff. Doing the LoCs is on hold until the house is fixed up and I can always send on a update mini disc later.
I've also harvested a few Lewis related SAID and DD(E) from the P Room as well as some interesting photos...
