Tripod mounted Lewis

Now, I am aware of the adapter to make the Lewis fit the Mk. IV Tripod (for the Vickers or Maxim) but I have been scrolling through the Australian War Memorial photos on the search criteria 'Machine Gun' (it is taking a while) and found this photo. It doesn't look like a Mk. IV but what is it?

I'm almost sure thats a Browning M1917a1 tripod, modified by removing the 1917 mount cradle and removing most of the feet.

Heya;
If you look on the IMA website at their Lewis Gun stuff they have a Replica Lewis Gun tripod, a copy of a rare US Army accessory, so they say, and it looks a bit like that from memory.

It says they are felmae munitions workers in the act of fitting the yoke of Lewis Gun Tripods. 1915.
