Hi Folks I'm looking for the steel clearing plug and screw for .303 barrels. The ones for pushing obstructions or pulling wadded up flannellette or pull through cord out of the bore.
Any ideas?

If you have a source for them, I don't mind slumming in 7.62 land ;-{D)
Yup I suspect the .303s won't be much different, cheers for the pic!

Kev what sort of thread do the 7.62 versions have? Same as the chamber and bore brushes etc? 'just so I can try one and see if they would be compatible with the rod?

The screw is marked:- SM690 7.62 M.M. ECH/67
The Plug is marked:- SM691 ECH 7.62 M M
Both have the UNF thread marking on them ' OOO ' and they should fit the standard 5 piece metal cleaning rod. And or any other compatible UNF threaded rod of the time.
Unfortunately I don't have a source of them for you guys. Those ones came out of the UK a few years ago.

I forgot,
There is also a third part to the set and it's called:- 1005-99-960-8115 HANDLE, Clearing Tools, 7.62 mm Mk. 2
This is a 2-piece rod with a UNF threads and an overall length of 720 mm and marked:- 960-8115 SFT /|\ 1977 with 'OOO' on both pieces.
I do have another rod that is basically identical in design and length the difference is it's a 1-piece rod with a UNF thread and is 725 mm long. I believe this could be the Mk. 1 rod, the only marking is 'OOO' near the threads.
