G'day
Does anyone have any information and would like to share information on theWelrod silenced gun. Have found several articles in books and on the WWW but that is not much.
Greetings Gerben

I am in the process of putting both models of the Welrod into limited production (9mm Mk I & .32 Mk II). They will be available as a non-gun replica, and also as a fully operational pistol. At this early stage I cannot give prices. It has taken me many years to gather enough information to prepare working drawings, and I am hoping to examine an original during my trip to the UK soon, to confirm some dimensions. You can look at my horribly out-of-date website on www.replicaweapons.web-nz.com

Hi
As for dimension I could have a look at a clubmember that has a Welrod. Could take some photo's and mail them to you. I am looking for information on it's origin and use, f.i. until when it was in use and how many were made. This is for an article I an trying to write.

Hi Kev
I had a good look and photographed the specimens in the Pattern Room. The battery in my digital verniers decided to go flat so I could not get the diameter of the bolt. If you could get me a selection of dimensions (either imperial of metric) as a cross refernce I would be grateful. To tell the truth, my mind was not making very clear decisions in the Pattern Room! To be amongst that lot, and to be able to handle any item, was almost too much! I might have to go back! ;D

Unfortunatly the Welrod in question is at the London Proof House at the momment as it has just been 'chopped' If there are more do be deacted I will get info earlier ! There is an article with some good pics in this months Strelecka Revue magazine if you want me to scan ? (text in Czech ) Thank god I kept my old Moore and Wright micrometer and vernier calipers ;D , but I always have a spare set of batteries for my camera ! Have you any more info on the BSA 5 pointed star mark that is also mentioned over at - www.timelapse.dk/ which is my interest in this ?

My god! How could someone deactivate one of those. It would be worth an awful lot of money to a collector like me! ;D The specimens in the PR had the 5 pointed star. Did BSA use this mark on anything else?

Hi Matt The Welrod repro project is still ongoing. I am well on the way with my production drawings and hope to have the first one made next year. They will be offered in three styles, depending on the requirements of various countries (i.e. fully operational, operational with a dummy silencer jacket and full-length barrel, or a non-functioning replica) and in both the .32 & 9mm models. As I operate as a one-man band, time is my greatest enemy, and I have to keep making my other models as well!
