Since I have managed to hide the piece I have been saving for years could some one please direct me to a source of No. 64 Khaki Blanco.
I'm sure the re-enactors out there must know where to get it so please take pity on me and let me know. I don't need a vast amount, just enough to do a couple of large slings, although a whole block would do me fine.
Yeah, the VB slings need doing as when the muck washed off them it revealed some nasty rust stains on the outside of both.

Cheers!
no desperate hurry but it would be good to get the slings tarted up. Got me a new Dremel to polish the brass up!

I got the correct blanco in the end,the very pale (almost white) Indian made buff stuff in the pink wrappers at the bottom of the photo. I've not had chance to restore the V-B slings yet but if the stains show through I may use the Kharkene stuff I have a small supply of. If any one has other Blanco/renovator packages I'd be grateful to see images of them(or purchase the real thang). I'm also looking foe a newish looking metal lidded can of Brasso (empty would be fine). Yes I am a very sad man.. ATB Tom

Tom.
I'll email you a picture of a tin of Tuxan Renovator shade 103.
My Indian (or Pakistani?) made stuff is wrapped in yellow tissue. One block looks like it might have part of the makers name (H JA) and the other (PAIN ) Possibly indicating PAINT.
I thought I had the other shades of Indian (Pakistani?) made stuff as well, but can't find them. The Indian (Pakistani?) stuff was sold a few years ago by Jerry Lee in the USA.
