Hi Kev Could those marks be from the Dutch 'Artillerie Inrichtingen'? The bottom photo with the crown could be either Swedish or Danish (i'm not sure - it just has that look about it it!) This typed with two fingers!

Thanks Rod, If the 'Artillerie Inrichtingen' you suggested is Dutch,I presume that the Dutch do not use a crown as part of their marks ? (Can't find anything Googleing) Very interesting so far Many thanks Kevin (key bashed with 1 finger !)

Certainly into the early '60s but Bart is the best one to ask.

Cheers Rod Just waiting to hear back about some info on the crown above a T mark to see if this has Dutch origins also. As the Artillerie Inrichtingen logo is on a MK4 Bren barrel and all sub assemblies including the wood on the handle,it seems they were making complete MK4 barrel assemblies there. The barrel is dated Setember 1974 and serial numbered to a Canadian MK2 Bren. I am hoping Bart in Holland can tell me more, but if anyone in the mean time can enlighten me about Bren barrel manufacture at Artillerie Inrichtingen and any other Bren parts/components they made there I would be very pleased to hear from them.
