I have amongst other bits and pieces,a copy of Small Arms Training vol 2 1924, which has a full technical description of the Hotchkiss, fully detailed assy/dis assy drawings and all the photos and text for the pack horse equipment.
For some reason the drawings for the lewis are missing but the technical description is there.I have enlarged the drawings by 45% to A4 size and am prepared to post on this site-how do i do it ??. As part of the deal,I would like a couple of fully dimensioned drawings of any part of the Hotchkiss in metric to use as a control drawing so that i can redraft the plans to full size and make a replica.

Hi Werkmeister sorry I've not got a full set of drawings for the Portative but there is S.A.I.D. 2064 from the Instructions for Armourers 1931 which I have as a jpg and was drawn to scale so is better than nothing. The only dimensioned drawings for the gun I do have are for the wooden butt assembly and they are in the originol Imperial measurements.
Drop me a line at tombear@btopenworld.com if they would be of use.
The photos of the pack saddlery sound very interesting.
All the best
Tom
PS I can take dimensions from my Mk I* if that would be of use.
