Does anyone have a complete:
GUN MAXIM .303 INCH LAND BOX SPARE PARTS N TOOLS MK IV
as I have one but it is missing some of the internal fittings and if easy enough, I would like to replace them.
It is a quite nice example dated 1900 and it has the original paper label pasted into the top which must be post-1912 as it mentions universal Maxim and Vickers parts.
Thanks,
Rich

Hi Rich
Sorry I can't help you with this one, but I would love to see some photos! Do early .303 Maxim handbooks ever surface over there? I have a Naval one, published by the Admiralty in 1912, which covers .45 (G-G) and .303 models, of 31 pages plus 16 plates, some in colour.

Hi Rod, Here are a couple of photos. Also, I do have a copy of: Handbook for the .303" and .303" Converted Maxim Machine Guns (Magazine Rifle Chamber). Mounted on Carriages, M.G., Infantry; Carriages, Parapet: Tripod and Cone Mountings. 1911. (Reprinted with Amendments, 1915). Quite a nice book and in very good condition for it's age. It is on my list to scan so if you are interested, I will send you a .pdf file on CD but it will have to wait a while. TTFN Rich
