Vickers Ammo Box Wanted

I am doing a photo shoot with the south wales borderers reenacting group in two weeks and i need to buy a ammo box anyone got one for sale?

I am also after a blast deflector and a gunners cape.

Hi Aaron,

You will need the tinned liner to be correct for your photo shoot (1944-45 I believe) so it is going to be difficult to source in a couple of weeks - the only ones I have are used on my displays.

While the MG Cape is a nice thing to have, you won't need it for a late 2ndWW impression. The blast deflector is important though.

If you get to the photoshoot and don't have it, I don't mind sending one down to you to borrow if you want.

The capes are quite nice to have and you should get one pretty easily.

On ebay there is a vickers ammo box it is the white no.10 mk.1 for £37 is that a good price

I am going to the malvern convention and i will be looking out for a cape what do you think is a good price about £120 to £140

Any news on the manual

Hi Aaron,

The white No. 10 is an Armoured Fighting Vehicle ammunition box (but saw VERY limited use in any other role) so not right for what you want to do. Also, I feel £37 is on the high side for it.

The cape should be that price if verified as Great War. However, they were produced for a lot longer, and some Australian versions, and I have seen them at a lot less than that price.

The manual has been sold I'm afraid to the first person who emailled me.

Is the photo shoot before or after Malvern as I will be going as well and could take the box and flash eliminator for you - or collect it if afterwards.

The shoot is one day before the show if i can't get a box before the shoot and i borrow yours i can give it back to you at the show.
