Well, heres the one in best condition, a Model 1925-1926, deactivated in 94. It was minus the leather shopping bag handles but from the handbook and photos of originols in France and Czechoslovakia (Cheers folks!) I have made some copies to go on from issue leather straps. Once the house is done up I will do some proper research on it (and the rest) This is my Model 1928-1929, not too bad and it had the great selling point of being pretty d**n cheap! The Item underneath is a mag loading guide. Most recently I have aquired a real bitsa, ex Portugese I'm told, with quite a few odd features. It really should have the later style of butt without the exposed return spring tube (if anyone knows of one...?). Oh the carpets and painting have been done since! ATB Tom

OK folks, brain picking time again whats a reasonable price for these in the UK at present? I'm talking not a silly over optomistic (sp?) dealer-sits on the shelf for years price but a good honest everyones happy price?
I just can't justify these in my collection when I don't have things like a L7 jimpy of Charlie G..
The Mk II Bitsa is going to get least I know as its been put together from parts but the Model 1925-1926 is a pretty d**n rare bird
Ive also got a few handbooks, the M.9, M.11, model 1924-25 (ex Herb Woodend collection) and from the same source neatly bound fascimiles for two earlier versions (not held in the Old Pattern Room library) All pretty much minty.
Theres also one really rare bird, the VA hand book for the Vickers Aircraft observers Machine gun class F rifle calibre. Minty and pretty scarce even by my own obscure standards!

Thanks!

Better picks when I've cleaned them off.

Tom,
I have no personal idea of the value, but if you can pin a price to it ALL, give me a shout as this is one area of the Vickers MGs I have little of in the collection.

Hi Rich the problem is the only other examples I've seen for sale have huge and what seams to me unrealistic prices on them. Mind you saying that they are pretty d**n rare. Its got me stumped truth be told. It would be nice to see them go to one home as it's taken quite a lot of years and effort to get them together.
