Camera batteries are charging at the moment so pics will come latter.I need help ID'ing a 20 round 7.62mm SLR mag (adaptor).
The magazine has no internals the top cover is welded shut with a (approx) 10mm dia rod about 80mm long welded to the centre of the top cover at 90 degrees to it.
It is in a sealed plastic wrapper with a Royal Navy prefix to the number (A204) Full number is A204 - 99 - 964 - 3442. Adaptor 1.
Other printed label on other side of packet reads - 223495 ADAPTOR 7.62 M/M QTY 1 PACKED PLY 4/72
Any ideas Kevin or anyone else ?

4933-99-964-3442 ADAPTOR, STAND 4933 - Weapons Maintenance and Repair Shop Specialized Equipment It's an Armourers item, quite what I'm not sure without seeing a pic of it. But it's possible it's a stand that you put in a vice then you would fit a rifle so you can work on it (Headspacing, fitting etc.)
All I can say is I don't have one and if you want to get rid of it let me know :-)

It sort of had your name on it anyway I wouldn't normally buy SLR stuff but curiousity got the better of me on this item ! Would you like me to get another so as to keep one in the wrapper ? Just out of interest here are also some SMG versions of the same thing. I'll sort out delivery with you off line.

Thanks for the info Kevin , the adaptors were amongst a heap of naval line throwing equipment which didn't make much sense but made the item seem even more ambiguous. Anyway here are some pics of allready opened mag adaptors -

Thanx for the pics, it's slightly different to what was suppose to of been made for the servicing stand. the magazines were suppose to of been cut down to about the first 3 inches, enough to lock into the magazine well of the rifle or SMG.
I wonder what line throwing gear there is? Some is probably for the SLR.
