Picked up a tool at Beltring (can't put up a pic at the moment or send you one, Kevin A) which seams to fit down the barrel of my L1A1 but theres a de-ac pin in the way so it can't go all the way. It looks like it is stepped to fit down the bore and flash hider
Its marked
B2/4933-99-962-7877 74 CW 10/81
Or am I just barking up the wrong tree?

Well done Tom your barking up the right tree, it's an SLR item. B2/4933-99-962-7877 ALIGNMENT TOOL, flash eliminator It's used to check the strightness of the flash eliminator and the bore of the rifle. Good find.

Excellent! Mike Priest has/had a small number of them. I'll clean it up then since its not for some obscure generator or portable karzi (;-{D) and I've sent you pics of it since the camera started working again.
