As promised for a while now, I have handed over the reins of the Bren site to you chaps. I no longer have any interest, other than technical, in the Bren and have sold my Bren items off.
As such, Tom will be leading on this project and I will do the technical formatting of his work and writing the webspace. With the agreement of everybody involved, I will keep it in the same format as the Vickers site because this is easy to use and read (and, importantly, update).
I have registered the domain name and this gives us 100MB of webspace and webmail accounts for up to five users. Not bad for £20 a year!
This area of the forum is currently only visible to staff members so we can chat about things first before the 'wider world' becomes aware. As a site is developed, I will move these messages into a sub-folder of the staff chat area but for the timebeing, they can stay here.
I hope this is all okay. My first job when I get confirmation of the domain name access and techno stuff is to create a framework of the site that we can work with. We will then start with adding stuff to the site as and when it is available.
I think it will be useful to keep a tally of who is doing what and if those involved and working on things could start a post with "Joe Blogg's tasks" as the title, it would be a great help - saves duplicating stuff as well.
Tom - Send me a list of who you want to have access to this area of the board and I will make them staff members.
Cheers,
Richard
