My Boyes has a smooth barrel. Smoothed postwar perhaps to allow ownership on a Shotgun Certificate rather than a Firearms Certificate?

I have managed to find some info on this thanks to Tony Edwards (MR BRITISH SERVICE ROUND) who has helped me out in the past.
The 13.2mm Boys AT was a BSA commercial development just before the 2nd WW (1938?) The ammunition was unique to the gun and made by Kynock in small quantities and was headstamped as 13.2mm.The round was very similar to the Boys AT round .The 13.2 Hotchkiss and 13mm Mauser TuF being different.
The Boys in question is for sale (seller not known to me) and I believe it is live at the momment.May be of interest to Boys/AT gun collectors out there ?

Just an update on the Boys AT gun (for anyone who's interested)- Mr Tony Edwards has kindly unearthed some more info about it and passed it on, the calibre is infact 13.3mm NOT 13.2mm.Headstamp pic below. The round is identical to look at to the Boys .55 inch. It is however marginally smaller in calibre by about 23 thou. The Boys has a bullet diameter of .574" and a neck diameter for the case of about .602", whilst the 13.3 has a bullet diameter of about .548 and a case neck of .574".
