M1951 body armour

OK this one is way off topic but do US M1951 body armour / Frag' vests turn up in the UK and if so has anybody seen one for sale recently? Size not that important but as ever condition is.

I'm thinking that it will be prohibitively expensive to get one from the US.

Hi Tom,

I've got some friends that are Indo-China/Vietnam collectors so will ask them when I see them next but I presume they do come up as everything else does at some point or another!

Might be worth getting in touch with the 'nam re-enactment groups.

I do believe thats a M1952 vest, which I've got cheers along with the US M1969 and some Uk variants. Thers not meny good pics of the M1951 on the net it seams, but heres a link to one that says they are M1951s

although its not like ones I've seen in books. they were filled with Doron (fiberglass?) plates rather than nylon woven stuff.
