hey
I know a local legion that owns a MG08/15 and I was wondering if anybody knew how rare it was and its value, I don't know if it is licensed. It is tarnished and dusty, but its all there I think.
thanks
James

What country is it in?
In most countries if something complete isn't licensed it's not worth anything, except jail.

A transferrable MG08/15 in reasonable condition in the US is worth US$15,000 - $20,000 on today's market. It is not worth any more than 1/3 to 1/2 that amount anywhere else in the world! The inflated value is because the US has a cap on the number of transferrable MG's. None have been added to the pool since 1986.

For UK dealer prices Regimentals have some. A complete one in UK??? Who knows. In Germany a deac MG08/15 went for GBP4,000. This was complete all WWI and with trommel etc. The same chap is selling his sled mount for Euros 6,000,. Mark
