Obviously a very old post, but seeing that this gun has the post war Turkish anti-aircraft sights the chances of the camo paint work being original WW1 would appear to be remote. May well be one of the Fire Power imports.

Unfortunately MG08's on original Sledge Mounts go for a lot of money these days.
