Rod, That is the closest replica I have ever seen! Congrats! The only comment I would make, is that you must have to much time on your hands!!!!!!

Thanks Brit! I have been making various replicas commercially now for about 10 years so I am fairly well set up for them. I am trying to ease up on gunsmithing and concentrate on my increasing range of replicas. After more than 40 years of full-time gun plumbing I am getting very picky about the jobs I accept but my trade customers are not happy about it! It must be a late mid-life crisis!  |

That does look good! I've made a couple too but they're a bit crude even with the use of some demil parts. I'll try to post some pictures as soon as I find out how!

I riveted the side plate flanges to the side plates first then clamped the box together with correct internal spacers. Then tacked to top and bottom plate sheets in place.  |
