Here is the bottom plate minus the dished out area between the lugs. I won't be duplicating that feature. More grinding and polishing is needed too.

I placed nasty looking welds in the receiver to demonstrate nonfunctionability.

great job. Fantastic. I'm from Spain and I'm a browning's fan. I want to make a replica but I don't find drawings. Where can I find it?

g503.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=173536&start=0Here's my thread on G503.com. I've posted some of my hand drawings here. This is basically a vehicle restoration site but there is a weapons topic here to refer to also. There are other replica builders here that use more economical methods to assemble them than I do. I have a disc of military blue prints I'll send you if you wish. I'll eventually post the drawings here too when time permits. All my photos and drawings can be found on Photobucket.com. Here's a direct link to it. s871.photobucket.com/home/mmike956/indexI hope this helps you. Mike

I'm temporarily burned out on replica building. We can certainly count on more activity in the shed when I recover. I've already decided to make another one using all hand made parts. No real parts will be used. Since barrels and supports are a bugger to reproduce accurately for the M2HB model the aircraft a/c will be the easiest choice. I have seen pictures of the a/c version mounted on SAS jeeps. They are a bit lighter than the HBs but usually had no rear sights to speak of but possibly the ring and crosshair on the barrel jacket. The one picture I saw recently was missing the retracting slide group too.

Just look at this beast! Not a single pin in any of the mounting holes. How is this gun mounted to the bracket? The sheet metal of this jeep would surely take alot of punishment. This jeep is definately at its load carrying limits. That M2 was probably salvaged form a bomber. I guess the SAS had to scrounge a bit for equipment.
