Thank you for saying so! I'm glad I am able to offer inspiration. Improvization is another virtue to possess in this hobby. Let me know if I can help you with that Sten. I'm familiar with the type. Thanks, Mike

It may not make much sense right now but as it all comes together the idea will be apparent. This tripod is designed to be bolted down. There's not enough of a footprint to be stable as a free standing mount. Our coast guard and navy use these mounts more than anyone else. I think they could be utilized on truck beds and trailers though.

Sorry for the delay in new posts but my pc took a nose dive a couple of weeks ago. I obtained a laptop to carry on with for now. Not ideal at all. I loaned the replicas out to a friend and didn't get a chance to burn the hand made one. Now I'm pooped out (tired) from all the fab work in my shed and the work I do for a living. I'll be back though! Mike

It is such a sin to chop things up this way. All we can do is try to restore them to some form of dignity.

How can we approach a replica project with all these fragments without breaking the law?

Here are a few fragments of an M2 that have a little potential. It'll take alot of work to bring them to a dignified appearance on a replica. Your input is welcome.

The junk pile is growing. As I gather more parts for builds my enthusiasm is fading. Old too soon and smart too late. No profit, just satisfaction that what I like is liked by a few others.

Hey Mike, PM me your address and I'll send you some good English tea bags. While this may not make you any younger a good brew might lift your spirits and give your enthusiasm a lift. A bottle of single malt scotch might be more affective but your welding is going to suffer (badly) ! ATB Kevin
