Hi Guys (and gals?),
If anybody on the forum, new or old, would like to add your serial number to the database, please leave your:- Serial number, Date of manufacture, Manufacturer, Mk No. and any other info you may wish to add.
also I'm going to list Bren tripod serials too, so feel free to leave them also.

Mine is a Canadian gun that went to New Zealand for a time (reserial numbered to NZ prefix) and then came back to Canada as some point.

My Bren
Serial number - B2404. Year of manufacture - 1943. Manufacturer - Lithgow. Mark - 1.
Came complete with transit case, accessories and some paperwork.

FTR'd Jan 1951 - Mk11 barrel added that originally belonged to B3632
Is this qute an early Lithgow ?

Lithgow made over 27,000 Brens, so yours is quite early being the 1810th made, however there are a large number of Lithgow Brens around and so its quite common to find early examples. The very first Lithgow Brens were double dovetailed were as your is a Mk1m (simplified).
Can you help in a bit of research by myself, Kev and Tim? Does your Bren have the fluted gas ports or the D-shaped gas ports?

Lithgow production was 17,428 186 Bren guns to 30th June 1941 3081 Bren guns,1st July 1941-30th June 1942 6848 Bren guns,1st July 1942-30th June 1943 5290 Bren guns,1st July 1943-30th June 1944 1930 Bren guns,1st July 1944-30th June 1945 Production finished on 13th August 1945 with B7429

Serial number: 12T6299Date of manufacture: 1944Manufacturer: InglisMk No.: Mk II Barrel is stamped: L9417 S near the carrying handle The Magazine has "II *" stamped near the top. That's II in roman numerals and a little star. No idea what that means. Hope that helps? David.

Hello Chris! Have you already got U8400..? M67 MkII nice clear markings with 1943 on RH side. Barrel renumbered but cannot see any FTR markings, until I clean it a bit perhaps. Not sure if you'd have it but just picked it up today as I wanted a British made MkII. I assume this is Damiler? Still learning as ever... Regards Matt Gibbs
