So, how scarce is a Mk2 tripod?

Kev will probably correct me on this but I think only BSA made the Mk2. I've 11 BSA numbers and only 2 are Mk2s. The most common appears to be the AGE Mk1 and the hardest to find appears to be the Mk2* BSA, Mk2 BSA and CCM Mk1.
It seams harder to get people to pass on their tripod numbers so its currently immposible to make to many conclusions as yet, but in my oppinion its not rare, but it is scarce.

Hi
I aquired a tripod this year at Stoneleigh, A/A legs, no clips for the Bren Butt handle, markings seen so far.
A 7655 43 date?
Will look for more in the morning
Incidently. does anybody have a spare "pull ring" to screw into the end of the A/A release rod? I am missing one (looks like a large, thick washer)
All the best
Mark

Hi Mark, I thought for a second I recognised that serial number and then I realised one of my tripods is A7653. Your Tripod is a AGE made tripod (Australian General Electric) and it is from 1943.
Which part is it you need? I'm a little confused. I'm guessing its the knob on the end of the locking pin your after.
Cheers, Chris.

Chris, yes, its the knob on the end of the locking pin, it looks like a round washer 1" Across, 5mm thick Mark

Hi Kev, Its the Mk1 version of the Blue boxed part I need, and I would like a Mk2 front leg to convert a Mk1* into a Mk2 as there is a massive shortage of that version (Which is stupid as there were loads of them a few years back).
ATB, Chris.
